Thanks to my longtime friend Kristy Burell (since 3rd grade I think) for reminding me on Facebook to blog! Facebook is so fast and easy but I hesitate to post anything too personal because of the privacy issues. Hello my old friend blog!
Once again I guess I will just start where we are because it would take years to catch up!
Today is Thanksgiving 2018. We made reservations at Mimi's cafe for brunch. We ate with Noni, Pops, Grandma Patsy , Wade, Weston, Bryan, Jessie, Colten, KC & Brylie. It was a pretty quick in and out. Brylie didn't feel well and I had to pull over on the freeway so she could throw up. I'm pretty sure taking her meds on an empty stomach didn't help matters. She was heading home to spend the day and second night since she has lived with us with her parents. It's probably safe to say that may have contributed to the stomach issues.
Brylie has been living with us since May after being hospitalized with mental health issues. We have been working with intensive outpatient therapy since her release. She has made great strides since she has been here but she still has a long way to go. It is challenging for everyone involved but very worth it when we see how far she has come.
Tyler has been very funny lately. I suspect he may have a crush on his second grade teacher. He asked me if I had invited her to Thanksgiving and seemed very disappointed when I advised him she probably has her own family to have dinner with.
He was very particular in picking out his brunch outfit. He insisted on wearing a suit and tie. He also added his shades. He said he wanted to look like he was going on a job interview. When I asked him what kind of job he said a gamer. He looked absolutely adorable! He must have learned the word "mature" at school because he keeps telling me how mature he is now.
Collin is my little man now. Mr. well behaved and responsible. That kid is my glue sometimes, except when he has attitude of course. He is such a good kid and is becoming quite a gentleman.
